Craft the Leather

Guidelines for TEP1 & TEP2 Students of Leathercraft.

 

Craft the Leather is an international training experience in Tuscany focused on vegetable-tanned leather. Selected students participate in an immersive week from 18 to 26 May, learning traditional techniques, visiting tanneries, and developing a final piece to present internationally.

 

Who Can Apply?

Students of TEP1 and TEP2 de Marroquineria with strong motivation and commitment.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Academic record and progression
  • Performance in the leather workshop (skills, creativity, precision)
  • Regular attendance
  • Interest in the leather and marroquineria sector
  • English proficiency (Italian is a plus)
  • Motivation letter
  • Personal interview

What to Expect

  • One week of hands-on training in Tuscany (18–26 May)
  • Visits to artisan workshops and vegetable-tanned leather tanneries
  • Development of a personal project for final presentation
  • International exchange and professional networking

 

Commitment

Selected students represent La Gaspar and must:

  • Participate in all program activities
  • Deliver the final project on time
  • Communicate responsibly and professionally
